Dilution of Cleaning Solutions
Operating Procedure
Dilution of Cleaning Solutions S.O.P
- Odoban is used in mop buckets for cleaning luxury suites, floors in hallways, kitchen and laundry room. Add a half cup of Odoban for each gallon of water. A typical mop bucket holds 3 gallons of water so you would add 1.5 cups of Odoban.
- Bleach can also be used in mop buckets for cleaning luxury suites, floors, etc but this should only be used as the last cleaning of the night. The bleach dilution for mop buckets is the same as Odoban.
- Petedge 256 is used in mop buckets for the play gym only. Add ½ tablespoon for each gallon of water. When using the pump dispenser, 4 pumps = 1 tablespoon so you would need 6 pumps (1 ½ tablespoons) to 3 gallons of water.
-
- Petedge 256 is used in spray bottles for cleaning walls, doors, cat condos, minis, etc. Add 1 tablespoon (1/2 oz) of 256 to a full gallon (128 oz) of water for a 1:256 dilution. Mix solution in a gallon jug before filling spray bottles to ensure proper dilution. Add water first then 256 to prevent foaming.
- Petedge 256 is used in the hydrofoamers at full strength. The gray tip located in the dispenser mixes the 256 with water to the proper dilution.
- Cat bucket for litter scoops-and poop buckets should be filled with 2 gallons of water and add 2 tablespoons (or 8 pumps) of 256 from the concentrated gallon.
- Dirty litter boxes should be filled halfway with water and add 1 pump of 256 from the concentrated gallon.
- All chemicals and cleaning supplies must be kept in the laundry room and away from the pets in our care-including foamers.
- CAUTION! Cleaning products should NEVER be mixed!
- Cleaning products should NEVER be mixed around or near dogs! Notify a member of management immediately if a pet comes in contact with or ingests any of our cleaners and then contact poison control.
If you think a pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Hotline at (888) 426-4435. A consultation fee may apply.
