Departure Assessment
Operating Procedure
This important procedure is designed to ensure each Guest that is departing is clean, free of odor, has been bathed (if scheduled) and is ready to go home. If a dog or cat comes home dirty and smelly, the client will assume the worst.
This procedure is done on the day the pet is departing.
Departure Assessment Time: Starts as soon as 5:30AM, MUST be complete by 7:00AM.
Obtain a grooming brush.
- Print out today's departure list for all overnight guests (dogs and cats!)
- Proceed to each Guest, enter the Suite and check the following:
- Does the Guest look clean? Check the pet head-to-tail for visual signs of dirt, feces, etc.
- Use the grooming brush to brush/smooth the pet's coat if necessary.
- MAKE SURE THE PET DOES NOT SMELL BAD.
- If a pet does smell bad, immediately bring them to grooming for a no-charge quick bath/cleanup. Complete this before the doors open!
- Return guest to room once and if no-charge quick bath is completed.
