Booking Grooming Appointments

Operating Procedure


 

Note: This procedure is for standalone grooming appointments only. Grooming services that are attached to a pre-existing reservation must be added on to the actual reservation itself.

 

  1. Navigate to the 'New Appointment' screen (Navigate to the left-hand-side menu, 'Reservations' > 'New Appointment'.)
  2. Add pet(s)'s name under the 'Select Pets' section. Verify last name is correct.
  3. Under 'Service Category', select the only option available, 'Grooming'
  4. Under 'Appointment Type', select desired service.
  5. Under 'Specialist', select:
  • For baths or nailtrims: always select 'Paws Bather'.
  • For full service groom, select the appropriate full service groomer.
  1. The date field will autopopulate with the next available opening. Select the desired date (if a date is "grayed out" it is unavailable.
  • ​​​​​​​For nail trims, after the date is selected, select only the drop off time and skip to step 8.​​​​
  1. Under 'Appointment Time', select the desired time. Green next to a time means it is available, and red means the time is unavailable.​​​​​​​
  • ​​​​​​​Note: if a client desires a time and it is not available (red), select the next closest time option and write the actual time in the notes. Let the client know the computer shows we only have a certain time available, but it is actually ok to come in at their desired time. The client will get a text and email confirmation with the date and time selected, so we want to make sure the customer is aware of this.
  1. ​​​​​​​If desired, add any service options under the 'Appointment options' section.
  2. Write any notes under the 'Notes' section.
  3. Press 'Create Appointment' once all details are finalized. 

Note: Customer will promptly get email and text confirmation of the appointment with the date and time. Please ensure the date and time is correct before pressing 'Create Appointment'.
