Printing Playlist and Assigning Play Sessions

Operating Procedure

This procedure will ensure all pet's playtimes are done accurately and efficeintly.

Printing the Playlist:

Please read and follow these steps carefully.

The first part of the playlist is the daycare list. To print this,

  • Navigate to Reports and More > Reports. Navigate to “Reservations by Date.” Put the date to today. Select only the daycare reservation types.
  • Click “generate report”. Then, hit the “X” on the right hand side of “Check Outs” section - we don't need this, as it will duplicate the report.
  • Then, hit the arrow on the "Check Ins" section to open it, and press “Animal” to sort by alphabetical order by animal’s first name. Then, press print, and you are good to go!

The second part of the playlist is printing the boarding activities section.

  • Navigate to Reports and More > Reports. Navigate to “Services by Date.” Next, make sure the date is correct. Make sure “additional service” is selected. Under the "Services" section, press the select all button. Delete the following:
    • All the Pet Care Warranty selections
    • OPG Fecal Testing
    • Nail Trim
    • Premium Bath
    • Basic Bath
    • Full groom with Haircut

DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING ELSE!

  • Next, make sure you select “Scheduled Within Date Range”. This is very important to make sure the activities show up correctly!
  • Click generate report, and press print - do not filter in any order when doing this!
  • The playlist is now printed.

Marking Up the Playlist and Creating Lists for Team Members

Assigning Play Sessions:

  • Print the activity schedule and the day care report for the day. This must be done by 9:00AM.

  • Using different colored markers, assign the groups.

  • Using 4 separate colors, assign dogs to Big Dog/Small Dog groups

  • Write lists with dogs names and room numbers for each group to hand out to staff at each group time.

  • If a dog is coming in late and doesn't make it into their group play, we will do a custom play time instead. Put a yellow dot next to their name.

Assigning Individual (Custom) Play Sessions:

  • Using a yellow marker, make a dot next to all of the dogs that will have a custom play time.

  • If a dog is scheduled to leave in the morning, make a note to do their playtime first.

Notes and Exceptions for Assigning Play Sessions:

  • Having a larger big dog group in the morning will often make the second group more manageable

  • Dogs leaving today should go to the first group of their size

  • Dogs arriving today should go to the last group of their size
